  • Compatible with child restraints and baby car seats.  
  • Designed to simplify mounting additional accessories, so you can personalise the way it fits into your setup. Cut-outs are compatible with MOLLE / PALS storage pouches.   
  • Half-barrier design allows you to use more of the cargo area.  
  • Adjustable brackets to accommodate varying seat positions.

  • 1 x Light Cargo Barrier to suit Toyota Prado 150 – Select your model above: 5-Seater (GX) OR 7-Seater (GXL, VX, Altitude & Kakadu models) 
  • All brackets and hardware required to fit the barrier are included.  

Please note: If you have a factory 7-Seater (i.e. GXL, VX, Altitude or Kakadu) but have removed the rear seats to make it a 5-Seater, please still select the 7-Seater option.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

Passengers should not ride in the third-row with this installed. This barrier has not been tested to Australian Standards, and is intended as a pet barrier or for use when off-road. 

All of our barriers are designed to be compatible with modern side and curtain-airbag systems, and as such there is clearance around all sides of the barrier to ensure unaffected airbag deployment. In rare instances, very small dogs may be able to get through the gaps provided for this clearance.

Is the Cargo Barrier Compatible with the Standalone Shelf?

Yes. The newest models of Light Cargo Barriers (KS0605/KS0606) and Standalone Shelf (KS0640) are compatible. Instructions for installing them together are provided. 

For products pre-2023:

Older Light Cargo Barrier (KS0021/22) + New Standalone Shelf (KS0640) = remove the rear fence on the shelf. 

Older Standalone Shelf (KS0265) + New Light Cargo Barrier (KS0605/606) = layer the Cargo Barrier handle brackets over the Shelf handle brackets. 

 

Can the barrier be used with baby and child car seats?

Yes, the barrier is compatible with child restraints and baby car seats.

 

Do your Cargo barriers have vertical / up and down adjustment?

No, the barriers are not able to be adjusted vertically.

Can we still use the third-row seats with the Light Cargo Barrier installed?

Any modifications to your vehicle’s third-row area may impact its compliance with safety regulations. We do not recommend carrying passengers in this space after modifications as it presents a dangerous safety hazard.
 
Additionally, some modifications that affect passenger capacity may require certification (mod-plating) to ensure your vehicle remains compliant with your state or territory’s regulations. We recommend checking with your local transport authority for specific requirements.

So far so good. Easy to install but a bit fiddly if you want regular access behind seats. You need to find the sweet spot for second row seat position

Light Cargo & Pet Barrier to suit Toyota Prado 150 / Lexus GX 460 [7-Seater]
We were after an easily removable cargo / pet barrier to contain our 7 month old puppy (Border collie x Kelpie) in the back of the car. All our research lead to Kaon. It's solid enough, built well - however an improvement could be to add "wings" to the sides of the barrier for the Prado 150 series as my puppy is about 20kgs and still managed to squeeze himself between the barrier and the window and get into the front seats. We had to alter the barrier ourselves to add "wings" onto it so he couldn't do that and they're keeping him contained 100%.

I still have not received the item. Kaon support has been great but the courier used is appaling. Our recent trip has been delayed due to the item not arriving and being installed. I have requested to have the item be sent again through a different reliable courier but have not heard back. I have had great experience with Kaon until now.

Chucked one of these in my 150 series prado. Great product!!!! Easy to fit, fits well, well constructed, quick to remove when needed and doesn't rattle. Super happy with purchase, ended up coming back and getting the rear side mollies also!
