The Hub Mount provides the perfect foundation for the variety of add-on accessory mounting options in our Out-Back™ range.
The mount is compatible with a wide variety of vehicles with rear-mounted spares – check the FAQ compatibility for vehicles it works with.
FEATURES:
- Multipurpose mount with nearly unlimited uses. Use it as a base mount for add-on accessory Out-Back™ Maxtrax mounts, or keep it simple as a mounting surface for QuickFists, stow-its, or even a Rotopax (not included).
- Perfect for items you’d rather not store within the car.
- Accessible height is great for mobility issues or high-use gear.
- The backing plate also acts as a 6mm spacer, which helps push spare tyres with non-factory tyres, rims, or offsets away from the rear door.
- Powder coated in a durable textured matt black finish that will blend in with your tyre and won’t rust.
- The Out-Back Spare Wheel Hub Mount is rated to hold up to 17kg.

What vehicles is the Out-Back Mount compatible with?
The Out-Back mount compatibility is as follows. Please note that the Out-Back range is not not compatible with factory spare wheel covers, such as those found on the Prado and Pajero.

Can I use two mounts simultaneously?
The Out-Back Spare Wheel Hub mount can be used in conjunction with an Out-Back Spare Tyre Mount, just be mindful of the mount spacing, as well as overall weight loading on both the rear door and the ratchet strap.
What other uses are there for the Out-Back Spare Wheel Hub Mount?
Along with our Out-Back Maxtrax Mount, it can be used to mount a range of accessories, such as 10L water, a Hi-lift jack or fuel storage with a Rotopax Style holder.
How do I mount a Rotopax water jerry to the Out-Back Mount?
The tyre mount is designed to attach directly to the upright base. Ensure the upright base is removed from the Rotopax mounting disc, and secure it directly to the Out-Back Mount.
