ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This barrier has not been tested to Australian Standards and is intended as a pet barrier or for use when off-road. All of our barriers are designed to be compatible with modern side and curtain-airbag systems. As such, there is clearance around all sides of the barrier to ensure unaffected airbag deployment. In rare instances, very small dogs may be able to get through the gaps provided for this clearance.
Is the Standalone Shelf compatible with the KAON Light Cargo Barrier?
Yes. The newest models of Standalone Shelf (KS0640) and Light Cargo Barriers (KS0605/KS0606) are compatible. Instructions for installing them together are provided.
For products pre-2023:
Older Light Cargo Barrier (KS0021/22) + Current Standalone Shelf (KS0640) = remove the rear fence on the shelf.
Pre-Jan 2023 Standalone Shelf (KS0265) + New Light Cargo Barrier (KS0605/606) = layer the Cargo Barrier handle brackets over the Shelf handle brackets.
What is the load/weight capacity for the Standalone Shelf?
The shelf is rated to 10kg. We recommend it as storage for lightweight and soft cargo, and with the weight evenly distributed across the shelf. If you need help imagining what that looks like, here's an example:

We do not recommend passengers ride in the third-row seats with the shelf installed. Should you wish to have passengers seated in the third row, uninstalling the shelf is quick and easy, taking just 10 minutes.

Yes, the barrier is compatible with child restraints and baby car seats.
Do your Cargo barriers have vertical / up and down adjustment?
No, the barriers are not able to be adjusted vertically.
