Our Standalone Rear Roof Shelf helps you get organised, with a secure place to store smaller, lightweight items that so often end up chaotically floating around the back of the car. So you can pack more of the creature comforts you love, without worrying about where on earth you’re going to put them.

What is the load/weight capacity for the Standalone Shelf?
The shelf is rated to 10kg, evenly distributed across the shelf. We recommend it as storage for lightweight and soft cargo. If you need help imagining what that looks like, here's an example:
Can we still use the third-row seats with the Shelf installed?
Any modifications to your vehicle’s third-row area may impact its compliance with safety regulations. We do not recommend carrying passengers in this space after modifications as it presents a dangerous safety hazard.
Additionally, some modifications that affect passenger capacity may require certification (mod-plating) to ensure your vehicle remains compliant with your state or territory’s regulations. We recommend checking with your local transport authority for specific requirements.
Please note, the seats are not able to be folded up when the shelf is installed.
Is the Standalone Shelf compatible with a cargo barrier?
The Standalone Shelf to suit the Fortuner is designed to work with the KAON Cargo Barrier.
It should allow sufficient clearance for most aftermarket Cargo Barriers, but there is a chance it may not work if you already have a cargo barrier installed in your vehicle.
A minimum 250mm of clearance is required from the centre of the grab handles to any existing cargo barriers (with the shelf installed on the rear-most setting).

The Shelf is 1050mm wide x 370mm deep.
What are the clearances for the Standalone Shelf?
Clearances when installed (subject to variances of up to +/-5mm):
Lowest Setting
Clearance from the roof to shelf base: 180mm
Clearance from shelf base to the floor: 800mm
Middle Setting
Clearance from the roof to shelf base: 170mm
Clearance from shelf base to the floor: 810mm
Highest Setting
Clearance from the roof to shelf base: 160mm
Clearance from shelf base to the floor: 820mm

We warrant our products for a period of 3 years and unlimited kms from the date of purchase.
